Volunteer Fire Department
WVFD was alerted to the 300 block of W. Main St in the Borough of Waynesboro (Box 24-01) for the multi-dwelling fire shortly after 8PM.
Engine 2-1 (E2-1), Rescue Engine 2 (RE2), Truck 2 (Trk2), Assistant Chief (AC2), & 13 volunteers responded.
Trk 2 took side Alpha, while E2-1 positioned on side C deploying the backup line to the initial fire attack group. RE2 secured a secondary water supply.
Crews assisted with fire attack, search, and ventilation.
Fire was contained to the basement and operated for approximately 1 hour.
