Waynesboro Volunteer Fire Department (WVFD) hosted a Heavy Vehicle Rescue Operations that 19 members participated in.

Members spent Tuesday & Thursday evenings on classroom presentations, and Saturday doing their practical portion.

During the practical portion, students went over tactics of stabilization, disentanglement, & extrication methods on heavy vehicles (tractor trailers).

Huge shoutout to Dave’s Truck Repair for providing vehicles and the use of their facility. Also, a big thanks to South Mountain Volunteer Fire Department for providing a transfer while our members attended the training.

Lastly, thanks to Instructors Dana Baker & Matt Gilliland for the knowledge & skills shared and demonstrated during the class.
